Fire prevention, firefighting and rescue drill at Nam Viet Barcode Company 2024

Fire safety is an important issue for every business, contributing to protecting property, human health and sustainable development of the business.

On November 2, 2024, Nam Viet Barcode Production Trading Service Joint Stock Company organized a training course on fire prevention and fighting (PCCC) and rescue to help employees raise awareness of the importance of fire prevention and fighting, proficiently use on-site fire fighting equipment, and be capable of promptly extinguishing fires when a fire occurs.

At the training session, employees are equipped with basic knowledge and content of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Law and other legal documents on fire prevention and fighting such as: fire and explosion situations and lessons learned, analysis of fire causes, basic knowledge of fire and explosion, explosive properties of some common flammable substances found in enterprises, common flammable substances, fire fighting procedures, principles of structure and operation of portable fire extinguishers.

After completing the theory part, the students participated in practicing the contents of: using MFZ powder extinguishers and CO2 gas extinguishers to extinguish fires (gasoline). And with Nam Viet training staff, they coordinated with the facility's fire prevention and fighting force to handle fire situations at the warehouse.

This is a training session with serious preparation of people as well as equipment for fire prevention. The training session is an opportunity for the Company's fire prevention team to improve their knowledge and sense of responsibility for fire prevention activities, thereby being proactive in fire prevention work when a fire or explosion occurs.

The drill achieved good results, the factory's fire fighting equipment worked effectively, especially the on-site forces played their roles well, and coordinated quite smoothly in handling situations. However, this is only a drill and will be very different from the real situation. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to widely propagate to further raise awareness and responsibility for fire prevention and fighting as well as strengthen training in necessary skills such as rescue, escape... for each officer and employee in the company.
