RFID applications in the aquaculture industry.

Recently, under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Department of Technology Application and Development organized an international scientific workshop on the topic: “Application of Information Technology and RFID Technology and Tracking Methods for Shrimp Products: Experiences and Benefits from Thailand in Vietnam”.

RFID is a widely used technology, primarily in the aquaculture sector, for controlling, tracking, and identifying the origin of products. Due to the small scale of Vietnamese agriculture, this technology is not yet widely used, which affects the export of our local products. At the conference, experts from Thailand demonstrated and shared their experience in traceability technology with support from IBM, FXA Thailand, and others.

The application of RFID technology and shrimp traceability in Vietnam will bring many benefits, especially to consumers, as this technology promotes the safety and cleanliness of aquatic vegetation in the aquaculture industry. ...
